Fall Activities Near Meadowbrook

After officially bidding summer goodbye, everyone becomes excited about the new activities that come with fall. After all, it is one of those seasons when people get to slow down a little and enjoy the moment. But don’t ever think that this season is boring! We mean that with the colder weather, the air crisper and fresher, many take the time to pause and ponder a little.

Whether you are an adrenaline junkie or you’re a laidback person, you will surely find something that will fit you. Here are six things you can do in Sacramento during the Fall season!

1. Visit a pumpkin farm.

The smell of pumpkin takes over the entire state during fall! Pumpkin spice lattes, pumpkin pies, and pumpkin soup, are all the rave in this season. Visit a pumpkin farm and pick your pumpkin to bring home. Choose different colors and shapes to put in your foyer table as decoration as well! There are also other family activities to do here as well, such as pic races and chicken shows, among others!

2. Take a long walk along the river.

Sure, you can do this anytime, but when can you appreciate the gorgeous foliage more? Bring a friend or your dog and stroll along the Sacramento river! At this time of the year, the scenery becomes so beautiful, and the place is a little more serene!

3. Check out the Leland Stanford Mansion.

Located in downtown Sacramento, the Leland Stanford Mansion is considered a historical building. It was built in 1856 and was purchased by the co-owner of Stanford University – thus, the name. Guided tours are being conducted daily from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm. Grab the chance to do your visit in the fall season! The view of the 19,000-square-foot mansion with the stunning fall colors is jaw-dropping!

4. Go thrift shopping!

Are you thinking of changing your wardrobe for the winter? Score some great outfits in the dozens of thrift shops in Sacramento! Some stores carry vintage luxury items that you can totally add to your wardrobe. Don’t break the bank trying to look cute! Thrift shopping can go the trick for you!

5. Master a recipe or two!

Since you have been dodging cooking and baking since the summer season came, it is time to bring out the chef’s hat and whip some new recipes! We know that summer can be quite hot and uncomfortable at times, so we understand if you avoid cooking altogether. But fall is the perfect season to try out some new recipes! There are a lot of seasonal veggies and fruits around that you can certainly toss into your new creation!

6. Cheer for the Sacramento Mountain Lions.

Whether you are a sports fan or not, it’s time to show some state spirit by cheering for the Mountain Lions! Prepare some game-day food like nachos, tacos, and pizza, and invite your friends and family over!
